This genealogical project is to organize the historical data on the Araneta family of
the Philippines. Profiles here are those of historical figures, scions of the gentry (de buena
familia), revolutionary heroes, scholars, government officials, national athletes and other public
personalities (celebrities) in various fields

The Family Lineage was made possible through information gathered from
the original manuscript of the Araneta family tree done by Eva Araneta de Serra on a
scroll format. Thanks to Cecile Araneta Cacho, Mariella Macrena Araneta and Pinky
Araneta, for their cooperation and input. To my eldest son, RJ Araneta for encoding.

To all the Araneta Clan who submitted their respective family lineage, my profound
gratitude for your immense effort.

To all those whose names and lineage are not mentioned, I apologize profusely.

The information here were collected over many years of research. Our family tree will continue
to expand as more genealogical data will come to light and will be updated from time to time.

I welcome critical notes, suggestions,
questions and corrections.
To be faithful to ourselves, we must keep our ancestors and posterity within
reach and grasp of our thoughts and affections, living in the memory and
retrospect of the past, and hoping with affection and care for those who are
to come after us.

Roland Oscar Araneta "Rolly"

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
